In the Spring of 2015 we planted over 100 fruit trees on a northeast facing slope. With good air drainage and slow bud emergence, this orientation will give better protection from late frosts and reduce the risk of growing fruit in an ever shifting climate pattern.  Our certified organic orchard will not produce abundant fruit crops for at least another five years, but the investment in time and in high quality organic inputs and practices will prove to be worth the wait. With our fingers crossed, in the coming years we aim to provide 100% organic apples, peaches, elderberries, and raspberries for an ever demanding market.

Our main focus is on winter apple varieties that have long-term storage potential, with smaller plantings of summer and fall varieties for early/mid-season availability. Below is the list of apple varieties we’re growing:
William's Pride, Red Gravenstein, Wealthy, Zestar, Somerset of Maine, Sweet Tart, Cole's Quince, Moses Wood, Newt Grindle, Liberty, Sweet 16, Rolfe, Canadien Strawberry, Pomme Gris, Hudson's Golden Gem, Narragansett, Honeycrisp, Cox's Orange Pippin, Starkey, Gray Pearmaine, Keepsake, Black Oxford, Roxbury Russet, Wagener, Stowe, Stone, Prairie Spy, Golden Russet, Esopus Spitzenburg, Baldwin, Brigg's Auburn, GoldRush, Hayford Sweet, Sweet Winesap.

And peaches, elderberries, and plums!
